Central Texas Cancer Centers is renowned for its use of highly targeted radiation therapy, homing in on and targeting the DNA of cancer cells with advanced imaging for the most effective attack on cancer while reducing the number of healthy cells harmed in the process. By employing CyberKnife and AccuBoost, the latest evolutions in radiation therapy, we offer our patients an even greater chance of success.

The radiation oncologists at Central Texas Cancer Centers are focused on increasing treatment effectiveness while minimizing side effects by applying radiation therapy before, after, or during surgery, depending on the type of cancer.

Our radiation oncologists can noninvasively achieve surgical-like outcomes for lesions in the body with CyberKnife and offer the perfect boost dose to patients who have undergone a lumpectomy with AccuBoost.

Central Texas Cancer Centers holds Distinguished Accreditation for Radiation Oncology The ACR seal of accreditation represents the highest level of quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards developed by ACR after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified radiation oncologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Patient care and treatment, patient safety, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Radiation Oncology Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.

“Central Texas Cancer Centers follows two principles: provide patients the highest standard of care, and do it with the utmost compassion and dedication. This seal of accreditation is simply another manifestation of quality care for our patients,” said, Douglas J. Rivera, MD.
